
BloodRayne 2's manual lock on replaces its predecessor's auto lock on for all gun combat. Manual lock on is used for harpoon an enemy or object, aim in gun combat, and to attack an individual enemy in melee combat. Many areas of BloodRayne 2 have been changed from its predecessor.īloodRayne 2 introduces a manual lock on. In addition to her blades, Rayne can also use her dragon pistols and has a harpoon to catch and throw enemies. Using Rayne's arm mounted blades you cut and slice your enemies much like the Devil May Cry or God of War games. Very much akin to the original BloodRayne you fight in a third person perspective. Using this substance, the Cult of Kagan plans to bring about a new age of vampiric supremacy and reduce humanity to mere cattle. The Cult of Kagan has developed a substance known as "The Shroud" which not only renders the sun's rays harmless to vampires but corrupts nature itself. Instead it is set some 60 years later and follows Rayne as she battles against the Cult of Kagan the offspring of Rayne's evil father. StoryīloodRayne 2 does not directly follow on from the first game. This version contains upscaled cinematics, higher resolution support, Xinput support for more modern controllers, and the original uncompressed textures. This version of the game was published by Ziggurat. On November 19th, 2020 a remastered version of the game was released on Steam titled BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut.

On October 24, 2017, it was made backwards compatible with the Xbox One. The Xbox version is backwards compatible with the Xbox 360 and was released on the system's online storefront on October 23, 2017.

The Russian PC port was published by Buka Entertainment. All version were later released in Europe by THQ on February 17, 2006. A PC port was released in North America on August 2, 2005. BloodRayne 2 is a horror-themed action-adventure game developed by Terminal Reality and published by Majesco for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox in North America on October 12, 2004.
